At dawn and sunset, colour temperature is too low and images are reddish. The 82A filters ("cold colour filters") are indispensable for correction of this deficiency.

Images taken at overcast sky, particularly in shadows, are bluish, "cold". The 81 A/B filters correct such high colour temperature and may give natural colour tone to the human skin. The B type is more powerful and more recommended for taking pictures in shadows during overcast sky.

Taking pictures in daylight with films for artificial light produces bluish images. The 85A/B filters correct this deficiency. The A filter corrects colour temperature for films intended for light sources with the colour temperature value of 3400 K, the 80B filter for those with the value of 3200 K.

F-WL filters are intended only for fluorescent light sources to correct the greenish cast. The are effective for all types of fluorescent lights. They may emphasize red-and-purple colour cast during sunsets.

Both types are suitable for taking pictures at fluorescent light combined with daylight. The F-DL filters are designed for daylight films, the F-TB filters for films for artificial light.
