HP5 Plus is a very sensitive film whose great advantage is its exceptional exposure flexibility. Its low grain size, which increases only very gradually with prolonged development, is particularly outstanding. It is therefore particularly suitable for reportage and sports photography or for shooting in low-light conditions. Its processing makes full use of the specific characteristics of the individual ILFORD developers. ILFOTEC and MICROPHEN are ideal for extended development. HP5 Plus is a film with a nominal sensitivity of ISO 400/27° that can be overdeveloped up to ISO 3200/36°. HP5 Plus can be processed by all common methods, even those that use shortened fixing and washing. Its wide exposure flexibility and tolerance of different processing methods make it a very robust film.
