PAN 400 is a very sensitive black and white film suitable for shooting with short exposure times (sports) or for shooting in low light conditions. It still meets the conditions of high quality halftone rendering, fine grain, very good contrast and sharpness combined with excellent exposure flexibility. It is the ideal film for all reporters. PAN 400 has a nominal sensitivity of ISO 400/27°, but can be exposed as ISO 1600/33° with appropriate processing. Many specific features of ILFORD developers can be used in its processing: for extended development, ILFOTEC HC, ID-11 and MICROPHEN are the most advantageous. PAN 400 can be processed by all common methods, even those that use shortened setting and washing. Its wide exposure flexibility and tolerance for minor processing errors make it a very robust film.
