Seemingly a minor detail, but it is a huge technological advancement in the field of dye-sublimation photo printing. Another new feature is the ribbon rewind function, called Ribbon Rewind, thanks to which you don't need to stock many types of media while still producing a wide range of photo formats - from 5x15, through standard and square, up to panoramic 15x35 and 15x50 cm. Additionally, up to four photo finishes are now offered (Gloss, Luster, Matte, and Fine Matte), which the DS620 printer can create using the ribbon's laminating layer. And the possibilities of the laminating layer don't end there - the printer is capable of applying a matte finish in a specific area according to a mask, and a glossy finish on the rest of the surface.
