Nature photography with mobile phone
The mobile phone adapter is used to conveniently capture and record images through the eyepiece of a spotting scope or binoculars - digiscoping. The phone is securely and comfortably clamped into the adapter, leaving the observer free for further activities. The adapter is ideally suited for range inspection, bird watching (ornithology) or target shooting.
Universal for smart phones and Apple
The mobile phone is attached to the adapter using self-locking jaws. Adjusting the camera lens to the eyepiece axis (spektive or binoculars) is done by loosening the screw on the adapter - setting the optimal lens position - by tightening the screw again.
Simple and fast setup
For correct image capture, we recommend set the image magnification (zoom) before, sharpening the binoculars and then attaching the adapter with the mobile phone. Due to the large differences between mobile phone lenses, in some cases it is also necessary to readjust the eyepiece - this is done simply by turning it to the optimum position.
Both the screw and the anti-screw (in the jaws for clamping the phone) are made of high-quality brass and thus guarantee a long service life and tightening strength.
Adapter clamping method
The adapter clamp (three jaws) rotates during tightening and the ideal way to tighten it optimally is as follows:
- put the adapter on the eyepiece so that the bottom of the adapter (for phone attachment) is angled to the right - with direction to "4o'clock" and tighten it slightly with the outer ring (fig-1)
- then grip the outer ring and turn the whole adapter to the left - to "6 o'clock". This will tighten the adapter and will not rotate or deform the eyepiece (fig-2)
Wireless camera shutter release
Included with the adapter is a remote camera shutter release on your mobile device. The Bluetooth connection provides a reliable way to trigger the shutter remotely without touching your mobile device. This avoids unwanted image shake. The controller is compatible with Android and iOS operating systems.

Adapter depth (eyepiece mount) = 12mm
Max. recommended width for phone clamping = 55-90mm
