Ing. Jan Kaiser, Ph.D.

Honza takes care of the FOMEI PAPER strategy, i.e. the assortment of FOMEI and Hahnemühle papers and canvases. He communicates with raw material suppliers and takes care of foreign distributors of FOMEI photo papers. Together with his team, he calibrates and profiles systems for the processing and production of photographs and art prints. He conducts lecturing activities in the field of color management and materials for photographic printing.

He graduated from the Czech Technical University in Prague, majoring in Image Technology and Photonics. He is always happy to return to the faculty, it is a matter of the heart. His work is a hobby and he tries to be optimistic. Colorimetry is his professional passion, to which he was led by Associate Professor Emil Košt'ál.

He shares his studies and knowledge in the field of photo printing and color management with the professional and lay public through the publication Guide to digital room.

In his spare time, Honza enjoys his family, swimming and cycling. He grows garlic and listens to Motörhead. He'll enjoy a good sausage from the fire more than a steak. He stopped playing computer games in the 1990s, when the glory of the Commodore 64 was fading. He doesn't look for more adrenaline, just look at the world from above - walk on tiptoe :-).
