The new emulsion technology of layered silver halide flat crystals has enabled a significant change in the conventional ratio between sensitivity, resolution, grain size and speed of development. This has enabled the development of ISO 400/27° film that has comparable properties to other ISO 100/21° films. At optimum exposure, it provides a very rich range of halftones and faithful drawing in both highlights and shadows. DELTA 400 Professional is rated at ISO 400/27°. While its exposure flexibility is not the greatest of ILFORD films, it provides excellent results even at exposures such as ISO 200/24° and 800/30°. Processing is possible in all common ways and in all ILFORD baths. ILFOTEC HC, ILFOTEC LC 29, DDX and ID-11 are ideal developers.
