The mobile phone adapter is used to conveniently capture and record images through the eyepiece of a spotting scope or binoculars - digiscoping. The phone is securely and comfortably clamped into the adapter, leaving the observer free for further activities. The adapter is ideally suited for range inspection, bird watching (ornithology) or target shooting.
The mobile phone is attached to the adapter using jaws with screw. Adjusting the camera lens to the eyepiece axis (spektive or binoculars) is done by loosening the screw on the adapter - setting the optimal lens position - by tightening the screw again.
For correct image capture, we recommend set the image magnification (zoom) before, sharpening the binoculars
and then attaching the adapter with the mobile phone. Due to the large differences between mobile phone
lenses, in some cases it is also necessary to readjust the eyepiece - this is done simply by turning it
to the optimum position.
The jaws are lined with rubber for gentle clamping of the phone. A sturdy screw with toothed washer ensures
a secure connection to the adapter.
