L-308X Flashmate
Synonymous with precision, Sekonic's pocket-sized and exceptionally accurate Flashmate L-308X is a compact tool for measuring ambient and flash illumination and for working with video thanks to special Cine and HD Cine modes. Equipped with a sliding luminosphere, the L-308X is capable of measuring both ambient and reflected light through a 40° receiving angle lens. This meter also has a wide measuring range; from EV0 to 19.9 at ISO 100 and can operate with flash in the range of f/1.0 to f/90.9 at ISO 100. Repeat accuracy is also important in metering, and the L-308X achieves this with the evaluation.
The L-308X series keeps pace with the demands of modern image makers who move from one job to the next and is therefore equipped with three metering modes.
Photography mode
The L-308X offers full control over exposure for photographers on location or in the studio. Flash and ambient light metering data is clearly displayed on the screen, as well as ambient light EV metering. In addition to the shutter priority mode, the new aperture priority mode offers photographers worry-free metering where depth of field is critical.
HD Cine mode
Provides videographers with a compact solution for location scouting or as a quick solution when working on set. The L-308X allows users to choose from a range of frame rates and shutter angles while measuring accurately to within a tenth of a step. Also, the addition of ISO 850 greatly assists videographers by giving them the ability to take measurements at the native ISO values of many of today's professional film cameras.
Cine mode
Designed with the professional in mind, the FLASHMATE L-308X can handle the challenges of digital cinematography. Choose the right combination of frame rates and shutter angles to achieve the exposure control you need to within one-tenth of a stop. The FLASHMATE L-308X is truly versatile, offering lux (lx) and footcandle (fc) readings, allowing for quick lighting setup in a compact, affordable and easy-to-use design.

Photo Mode, Cine Mode and HD Cine Mode - The L-308X has three modes with a variety of flash and daylight shooting features. Cine mode, which gives you full access to shutter angles as well as lx and fc metering, and HD Cine mode for working with mirrorless and DSLR camera settings.
Lumidisc (optional)
Reflected light measurement allows you to measure the brightness of subject tones, gray cards, light sources, or light from a window.
