It means that Velvet 265 has great archiving potential and is certified for digital hard-proof systems. The document number is 28564-1. Part for professionals :: ABOUT ICC PROFILES Are you unsatisfied with the color accuracy or neutrality of BW photography? Our company owns state-of-the-art measuring devices and algorithms for ICC profiles generating. It means that FOMEI serves to both professionals and hobbyists custom calibration/profilation whatever compatible medium-printer pair. Thanks to measuring of interaction between paper and printer, “color vision” of this pair becomes known and ICC profile is generated. This ICC profile describes relationship between paper and printer precisely and makes corrections to the natural nonlinearities of color reproduction. Nonlinearities that are not compensable via sliders in the printer driver. Finally, ICC profile is added to the reproduction chain into application that support output color management (Adobe Photoshop, Corel PHOTO-PAINT, mirage…) or directly associated to the printer in OS (Windows only). This process results into color accuracy of the printed photos. Relative to the focus of FOMEI company, generic ICC profiles are not produced a priori for all existing photo-printers on today market. Archival Velvet 265 is our premium semi-glossy microporous paper 265 g/m² suitable for photography and digital proof-prints.

Archival Velvet 265 is certified by Fogra institute according to ISO standard about digital proofing ISO 12647-2:2013. It means that Velvet 265 has great archiving potential and is certified for digital hard-proof systems. The document number is 28564-1.

It can and cannot bear comparison with photo paper from "wet" minilabs (Agfa, Kodak, Fuji, Noritsu, Konica) at the same time. Its surface and pad are unrecognizable similar to its brother from the wet minilabs era, but Archival Velvet offers greater archival potential (photos will not fade), sharper drawing and higher color saturation (it has a bigger so called gamut - the amount of reproducible colors).
