Generation FOREMAN PRO ED
The new generation of hunting binoculars FOMEI FOREMAN PRO ED is developed with the focusing on maximum use in twilight or difficult lighting conditions. The main prerequisite for excellent lighting output is a lens with a diameter of 56mm and new optical components providing edge sharpness to the edges of the field of view.
The main advantage of the latest PRO ED model are components made of ED glass, which reduce color aberration to the color spectrum. The final image is more contrasting and increases the edge sharpness of the observed objects.
FOMEI Foreman PRO ED series obtain a full hunting version 8x56. This is a binocular with excellent lighting transmission and contrast even in poor lighting conditions or at night. High viewing comfort is guaranteed by a focusing distance from 2.5 m and diopter adjustment with a range of +/- 4 diopters. This is a model without any compromise!
HTC and DEC anti-reflective coating
FOREMAN PRO XLD binoculars are manufactured with materials of the highest quality parameters. All lenses and eyepiece are equipped with special HTC (High Transmission Coating) antireflex coatings. Binocular prisms are coated with DEC (Di-Electrical Coating). Combination of HTC / DEC anti-reflective layers ensures maximum throughput of the entire optical system. Binoculars have a high edge image sharpness and maximum overall light transmission. Due to their excellent light transmittance they use "residual lights" so, they are also suitable for observation of night sky, etc. Where the human eye can see only the black shadow the details of the FOMEI FOREMAN binoculars are excelent.
FOREMAN uses PHASE layers
In roof prism binoculars, a phase shift occurs when light is refracted. The reflected light is thus partially polarised and interference can occur. As a consequence, 'optical power' and 'optical resolution' are lost. This is most noticeable in binoculars with high magnification and a disproportionately small objective (small pupil). Significant reduction of this phenomenon can be made in prisms by using special coatings - PHASE COATINGS. The resulting image - significantly better contrast and optical resolution - is far superior and comparable to binoculars equipped with porro prisms.
ED (EXTRA-LOW DISPERSION) TECHNOLOGY
In the objective design, glass with Extra-low Dispersion is advantageously utilised. Upon passage of light through any material, it is refracted at an angle proportional to the properties of the optical material (index of refraction). Due to the fact that the index of refraction of the material is different for individual wavelengths of the impacting radiation, white light is split into the spectrum upon passage through the material. The white image is therefore split into a set of colourful images, which have a different size and focusing position. It is therefore impossible to focus an image ideally without a colourful - rainbow rim, which then has a crucial effect on the luminosity and edge sharpness of the objective. When using ED glass, the colour defects are minimised and a nearly ideal image is achieved. These unique properties are utilised by the FOMEI FOREMAN PRO XED binoculars.
The binocular body is filled with dry nitrogen which prevents internal fogging and also ensures its water resistance (WATERPROOF). The robust design of FOREMAN PRO XLD / ED binoculars and innovative ergonomics extend the wide range of usage. The diameter of the input lens (56mm) combined with the new materials and technologies offers great optical properties.

The binocular FOMEI FOREMAN and LEADER PRO ED are under warranty for 5 years.
Each binocular FOMEI undergoes by individual output control and adjustment at a special workplace in Hradec Králové. This guarantees the functionality and quality of the supplied optical devices.
The Service department also performs warranty and after-warranty service of FOMEI optics which is provided for the whole lifetime of the device. The FOMEI service is also equipped with technology for refilling with inert gas.
